Point No.(i) as per schedule VII of Companies Act, 2013

• Construction of 1471 toilets for boys & girls in Government Schools in 7 (seven) districts of Dibrugarh, Tinsukia, Jorhat, Sivasagar, Barpeta, Bongaigaon and Dhubri.
• Installation of 20 nos. of RO/UV drinking water plants in villages of East Godavari District, in OIL operational area of KG Basin Project.
• Construction of 2 nos. of toilets for men & women in Ranau and Ramgarh villages of Jaisalmer district, in operational area of Rajasthan Project.
• Cleaning and maintenance of Bondajan water body under OIL's Pipeline Headquarters, at Narangi, Guwahati.
• Provided 2 nos. of garbage disposal trucks & 1000 nos. of garbage bins to Guwahati Municipal Corporation for garbage collection and cleanliness in different locations of Guwahati, (taken up in two phases).
• OIL constructed Toilet at Moitripur LP School, Diyun, Arunachal Pradesh, and Toilet at Digboi Unnayan Samity and Toilet facility at OILTownship in 7 nos. of locations for public use. Additionally, OIL took up a toilet utilization assessment survey of the already constructed toilets in various schools.
• OIL has adopted Kamakhya Temple, Guwahati under Swachh Iconic place initiative as a part of Swachh Bharat Mission apart from organizing Swachh Bharat Pakhwada, walkathons and seminars on Cleanliness in all its areas of Operations.

• OIL has provided an amount of Rs 1.80 Crore towards construction of 1,500 toilets in Dibrugarh district to make the district “open defecation free” in addition to construction of toilets at 10 satras of Majuli under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. Apart from the above, following initiatives are taken by OIL:
• Providing financial assistance for an amount of Rs 1.07 crore towards maintenance of 1471 school toilets constructed under Swachh Vidyalaya Abhiyan in FY 2014-15, was disbursed to the concerned authority.
• Providing financial assistance towards development and beautification of Tinsukia Town including beautification of Morut Nanadan Kanon Park.
• Swachh Bharat Pakhwada at various levels including walkathons, initiatives like clean your work place through shramdaan, and seminars on Cleanliness etc were organized in all its areas of Operations.

Project ‘Arogya’, is an initiative with an umbrella focus on reduction of Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) and Infant Mortality rates (IMR) in and around OIL’s operational areas of Tinsukia & Dibrugarh districts in the state of Assam. The Program aims at caring for the new born, as well as addressing maternal and adolescent health issues at various stages of life. Since the beginning, the program has been spreading awareness on pre-natal and post-natal healthcare, sanitation, hygiene and cleanliness, which has led to reduced maternal and child mortality and better health for women and children across the targeted villages of OIL’s operational areas, in the last few years.

Under the project, which was launched in 2012-13, more than 30 health camps have been conducted in 30 different villages in OIL operational areas, providing pre-natal & post-natal check-up facilities and community health awareness generation; with coverage of over 2000 beneficiaries (pregnant mothers, adolescent girls, 0-5 years children). Training is also provided to Health workers in all the villages covered under the programme. Awareness camps and counselling are given at regular intervals for Institutional delivery, family planning, hygiene, sanitation, nutrition, etc. As a part of the joint initiative under Swachh bharat Abhiyan and Project Arogya, in FY 2017-18, distribution of Sanitary napkins to 370 Nos. of young mothers and adolescent girls of villages of tinsukia district .

Project on imparting mobile computer education to school students, through innovative teaching and learning methodologies.} The computer literacy programme is being implemented in 30 (Thirty) Schools at present within OIL’s operational areas in the districts of Dibrugarh, Tinsukia and Sivasagar. The project is being implemented through State Institute of Rural Development (SIRD), Assam and IL&FS Education & Technical Services via mobile education vans/buses which visit each of the areas and schools. Since 2012-13, 26,500 students were benefitted via custom designed and fabricated mobile education buses / vans. In FY 2017-18, a total of 7,094 students of 30 schools were benefited.

Under this programme various computer courses starting from 02 months basic courses to three years advance diploma courses are offered. The basic courses include, Basic course (02 months), DTP (02 months), Web Page Designing (02 months), Tally (03 months), C Language (03 months), C++ (03 months), Java (03 months), Linux (02 months), Visual Basic (03 months), Visual Basic Script (01 month). Every year around 900 to 1000 youths obtained certificates by undertaking the computer courses. The courses are recognized by State Institute of Rural Development, Appex Centre for Research and Development, under Dept. of Panchayat and Rural Development, Govt. of Assam. In FY 2017-18, a total of 919 students were trained under the computer education initiative.

Point No. (ii) as per schedule VII of Companies Act, 2013

Need based support is extended to physically challenged community including students with disability and special needs, studying in two special schools – Mrinaljyoti rehabilitation Centre and Moran Blind School.

In the last two years, financial assistance was provided to the students of Mrinaljyoti Rehabilitation Centre, Duliajan and Moran Blind School, Moran in the form of annual scholarships. At the same time, financial assistance was provided to Mrinaljyoti Rehabilitation Centre, Duliajan for construction of a shelter home for girls (one time), procurement of a diesel generator set (one time) and annual grant (in each year) for extension of services of the Centre. Similarly, Moran Blind School, Moran was provided annual grant for incurring the running cost of the school (in each year). As a new initiative, 20 differently abled candidates were trained in the trades of sewing machine operator and quick service restaurant from OIL’s operational areas as well as other parts of Assam. Out of 20 candidates, 15 were placed at various industries/ restaurants across the country.

The primary objective of Agriculture Project is to introduce modern methods of cultivation to generate large scale production and thus provide an opportunity to the unemployed youth to adopt agriculture as a means of earning livelihood and thereby attain economic empowerment. While doing so, maximum emphasis is given in extending in-field training by experts from Agriculture Department, Government of Assam & Assam Agriculture University for proper and adequate use of technology. To boost the encouragement of the farmers, the Oil India Rural Development Society (OIRDS) introduces high yielding paddy seeds specially collected from Regional Agriculture Research Centre, Titabor and organic manure to revitalize the paddy fields. Till date, OIRDS has adopted more than 118 villages, covering more than 17221 farm families under its Agriculture Project. (Since 1991).

In FY 2017-18, 16 Nos. of new villages were adopted (Sali cultivation 3000 bighas and rabi cultivation 1465 bighas).

Started in 1991, The nursing school in OIL Hospital Duliajan conducts 4.5 years (including 1.5 years on the job training in OIL Hospital) General Nursing Midwifery (GNM) training courses which is recognized by the Directorate of Medical Education, Government of Assam. Initially intake per year was 6 candidates. Subsequently the no per year was increased from 10 and 20 and its present batch size is 30. In last two years, 60 new students were given admissions and trained under the ongoing 3 year course.

Point No (iv) as per schedule VII of Companies Act, 2013

This project is OIL's seminal project on biodiversity conservation, especially conservation of endangered faunal species.

Started in 2016-17 fiscal, keeping in view the need to create a safer environment and aiming towards reducing carbon emissions through the use of renewable energy and prevention of indoor air pollution for communities of OIL’s operational areas. Under the project, fuel efficient cook stoves will be constructed and installed in 3000 rural households of OIL’s operational areas of upper Assam in a span of 1 year. Also, solar solutions in alignment with the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy, Govt. of India (MNRE) clean cooking & lighting solutions under Happy Home package will be provided. In 2017-18, 3000 nos of fuel efficient cook stoves with chimneys were constructed in 06 nos. of tea gardens. Currently, 20 youth from 06 tea gardens have completed Entrepreneurship training focusing on Personality Development, communication skills etc.

Since inception of the project OIL has been supporting the initiative which has the potential of creating rural entrepreneurs apart from protecting the flora and fauna of the region. OIL has provided financial assistance for solar lighting, pedal boats and battery driver eco-friendly vehicles. A 40 kw Solar power plant has also been inaugurated recently which is a part of financial package of Rs 1 Crore sanctioned under the Company’s CSR initiatives

OIL has adopted 3 rhino calves for a period of three years which were orphaned by the devastating floods of 2016 in Kaziranga National Park.

Oil India Limited has contributed Rs 61.65 crore in the last two years towards (PMUY) which aims to safeguard the health of women and children by providing them with clean cooking fuel-LPG.

• OIL has contributed an amount of Rs 10.00 Crores towards building Statue of Unity as part of Preservation and Promotion of Art and Culture in FY 2017-18, in addition to Rs 25.00 Crore, which was contributed during FY 2016-17.
• Renovation and Preservation of Berry White Medical School in Dibrugarh: In FY 2017-18, OIL had entered into a tripartite partnership to achieve the objective of preserving, restoring and renovating the cherished heritage of John Berry White Medical School.
• OIL had also contributed towards several events promoting and preserving local art, culture and heritage including dance, music, drama, theatre, art and craft etc of Assam.

Promotion of Sports as a CSR initiative apart from providing a platform and motivating the budding talent from the rural parts of OIL’s operational areas, plays the role of uniting the communities, mobilizing, inspiring and instilling responsible behavior among the children and youth. OIL’s contribution and collaboration with the social groups, district administration and sports bodies, has helped in making rural sports as one of the most popular sports event in the rural areas creating social advantage, over the years. Rural sports as a CSR initiative apart from providing a platform and motivating the budding talents from rural parts of OIL’s operational areas play the role of uniting the communities , mobilize, inspire and instill responsible behavior among the children and the youth.

Initiated in 2001, apart from rural sports in FY 2017-18, OIL has provided financial assistance to several schools and sports organizations for development of playground benefitting larger number of youth.

Point No. (x) as per schedule VII of Companies Act, 2013

Over the years the company has built over 1500 kilometres of roads to facilitate and improve basic communication. OIL has also constructed many Public stages, Auditoriums, libraries, lecture Halls, computer centres & institutes of higher development in various OIL operational areas of North east India. In FY 2017-18 alone OIL had taken up construction of 203.18 KM of rural roads along with 56 nos. of rural culverts. Further,3 Nos. of Community auditoriums and 07 nos of waiting sheds were also constructed towards augmentation of rural infrastructure.
