One of the core values of the Company is "Integrity", which is the cornerstone of the Company’s success. The Company aims to uphold the highest standards of ethical conduct while performing its business activities.

To this end, the Vigilance function helps spread the message of honesty, transparency, integrity, etc. and promote good governance through its various initiatives that are undertaken as part of Preventive Vigilance campaign like seminars, sensitization programs, journals / publication, quiz, and other competitions, etc.  

The Vigilance function in Oil India is headed by a Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO).  
The office of the CVO is located at the Corporate Office of the Company in NOIDA, Uttar Pradesh. The various other Vigilance units working under the CVO are located at Duliajan, Guwahati, Kolkata and Jodhpur.

CVO advises the Company Management on various measures to be adopted to improve the functioning based on the gaps identified during Vigilance Inspections, Investigations, Scrutiny, etc.
CVO also oversees the Company’s Vigilance Complaints Mechanism. 
CVO also acts as the interface between the Company and various stakeholders / agencies like Ministry, PMO, CBI, CVC, etc.
